Silence (2016)

Silence was a tale of Japans fight against the invasion of Christianity and the persecution of Christians in Empirical Japan.The Pace was slow, the story was fairly boring although quite historically interesting.  Andrew Garfield was redeeming in his role as a christian missionary hiding in small town Japan.

50 Shades Darker

50 Shades Darker was a sexy story of two lovers intertwined, Christian Gray and his kept partner anna really explore the deeper sides of peoples lust and desire for taboo and risque sex. The story centres around their love life and a seemingly endless wish to always have more. The Erotic and sultry side doesn't detract from what is otherwise a tale of the hardships many go to to satisfy or please their partner and the lengths some will go to do this.

Gold

Kenny Wells, a prospector desperate for a lucky break, teams up with a similarly eager geologist and sets off on a journey to find gold in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia.

Matthew McConaughey really puts on a good performance here, the beauty of Indonesia and the grit and crime of the Gold industry is really told spectacularly here with a story of greed and golds drawn out to make for a solid gold experience. Although a little typical as a entrepreneurial tale this film still proves to be worth watching.

Patriots Day

Patriots Day was a good disaster film with a strong pro police message with a heart breaking story at the centre. Mark Wahlberg does a fine job portraying the struggles of the Boston PD and the many people they are tasked with keeping safe.

Split

Three girls are kidnapped by a man with a diagnosed 23 distinct personalities, and must try and escape before the apparent emergence of a frightful new 24th.

Split was an interesting exploration of the human mind lead by JamesMcAvoy this film really explores the inner psych of someone with a range of sometimes concerning personalities.
At times thrilling but overall a strange story of a man with issues this proved to be quite fun for a movie supposed to be a thriller.
